The Prisons and Justice Initiative sponsors an internship matching program with DC prison reform organizations, a debate program in a local maximum-security prison, an "inside-outside" course for both Georgetown and incarcerated students who will work together on joint projects, collaboration with an organization seeking to raise awareness of prison reform within the Millennial generation, a college-level course for incarcerated students featuring guest lectures by prominent Georgetown faculty, and several writing and reading workshops for returning citizens in the Washington DC area. The Prisons and Justice Initiative will continue to develop additional programs as it expands.
