George is a senior at Georgetown majoring in Government with a certificate in African Studies. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, he first became invested in learning about injustices in the criminal legal system when he did research about his home state’s overcrowded prisons in high school. Since coming to Georgetown, George has worked as tutor for Georgetown’s Pivot Program and helps advise his peers as a member of the Student Advocacy Office. As the Student Associate for the Prison Scholars Program, George is passionate about supporting scholars in their educational endeavors, and hopes to continue using education as a medium for criminal justice reform.
