Tyler Kemp

Patuxent Institution Site Coordinator

As a Site Coordinator for PJI’s Bachelor of Liberal Arts program at Patuxent Institution, Tyler supports faculty and students, facilitates campus needs, and serves as a liaison between the campus and the Patuxent Institution administration. Tyler received a Master’s in Philosophy from American University, focusing on History of Philosophy, Social Theory, and Phenomenology. Tyler finds the intersection between history of philosophy and contemporary incarceration to be a critical topic that will continue to shape society. He is devoted to student success and cultivating strong degree candidates in the BLA program. Outside of the Patuxent Campus, Tyler enjoys music, cooking, writing, and running. He has a taste for craft ales and oysters, calling Louisiana home. He also loves table tennis.
