Annie Kane
Robert Katzmann Fellow
Annie is a senior American Studies major at Georgetown serving as the current Robert Katzmann Fellow and Teaching Assistant for Making an Exoneree. Originally from North Carolina, Annie first became involved with PJI as a Communications Intern, which deeply affirmed her passion for storytelling for social justice and empowering incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people. She was a student in the 2023 cohort Making an Exoneree, reinvestigating the wrongful conviction case of Sarah Pender, and interned at the Innocence Project before stepping into her role as the Robert Katzmann Fellow. Annie remains dedicated to advocating for the wrongfully convicted and for a criminal legal system that is more fair, just, and humane.
