Shanessa Taylor

Director of Communications

Shanessa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.

After completing a year of AmeriCorps, she held communications roles focused on education and financial policy, as well as direct services. Prior to joining the Prisons and Justice Initiative, Shanessa served as the Associate Director of Communications Strategy and Operations on the Office of Advancement Communications team. As Director of Communications with the Prisons and Justice Initiative, she manages the organization’s internal and external communications.
