Apply for the MORCA-Georgetown Paralegal Program
The MORCA-Georgetown Paralegal Program offers students who have previously been incarcerated an opportunity to build successful and rewarding careers in the field of law through education, professional development, and employment support.
Fill out the Interest Form for updates about the next application cycle, which will begin in early 2025.
Eligibility:
- Previous incarceration
- High school diploma or GED
- D.C. mailing address
Qualifications:
- Formerly incarcerated individuals with a strong interest in starting a career as a paralegal
- Passionate about advancing their own education, driven, and hardworking
- Able to contribute positively to classroom discussions
- Available to attend classes in person 40 hours a week for 24 weeks (including Saturday classes). Classes will take place at PJI’s office near Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station
Participating Fellows:
- Complete a certificate program through the Georgetown University Law Center in 24 weeks
- Earn a $17.50/hour stipend while completing classes full time
- Access mentorship, coaching, and job readiness training throughout the program
- Receive support in exploring full-time job opportunities after graduation
