Maya Hambrick
Paralegal Program Manager
Maya Hambrick is the Program Manager for the MORCA-Georgetown Paralegal Program. In her role, Maya oversees the progression of the Paralegal Program, as returning citizens obtain a certificate in Paralegal Studies before placement with partnering law firms and other employers within the DMV as full-time paralegals.
Maya earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgetown University. During her time at Georgetown, she served on the Student Advocacy Office (SAO) board, earned a fellowship with the Psychology Department’s Protective Orders Project, and, as a member of Jack Crew, cared for Georgetown’s beloved mascot, Jack the Bulldog. Maya also participated in the 2022 Cohort of Making An Exoneree, reinvestigating the case of Shanda Crain. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Professional Studies in Project Management through the School of Continuing Studies at Georgetown University. Maya is passionate about prison reform and strives to elevate the voices of marginalized individuals along with those impacted by the U.S. criminal legal system.
