Gregory M. Bowyer, Jr. 

Community Resource Manager

Gregory M. Bowyer, Jr. has joined the Georgetown University Prisons and Justice Initiative (PJI) as Community Resource Manager. In this role, he supports programs across PJI, while focusing on developing and coordinating critical systems and services for individuals under supervision with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. 

Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice and a Master’s degree in Human Services. With more than 25 years of experience in public safety and academia, he designs cross-sector, evidence-based strategies that empower justice-impacted individuals and communities, strengthen service organizations, and promote institutional and systemic change.

Recognized as a transformative force-multiplier, Greg is a compassionate and effective leader who believes deeply in restorative justice, the power of redemption, and the reformation of corrections. Guided by the belief that “man is ultimately good,” he maintains that with the right support, education, and resources, individuals can be restored and become valuable contributors to the global community.

Drawing on his lived experience, Greg brings hope, healing, and humanity to justice-impacted individuals, their families, and the communities they call home.
