Caity Baskin
Program Intern

Caity Baskin is a Georgetown senior from Los Angeles majoring in government and English with a minor in French. Over the summer, she interned for a Criminal Justice Act (CJA) panel public defender, helping to draft motions and organize reentry resources for Incarceration Reduction Amendment Act (IRAA) applicants. Taking the Prisons and Punishment course in the fall of 2022 both affirmed and deepened her dedication to criminal justice reform. In her current role at PJI, she works closely with the Director of Reentry Services to refine and expand PJI’s existing reentry programs. Caity is passionate about demystifying and streamlining the reentry process to support returning citizens and reduce recidivism. At Georgetown, she is a member of the Student Advocacy Office (SAO) and is in the process of writing an Honors English thesis. In her free time, Caity loves reading, going on walks to the monuments, and watching movies.
