Evelyn Rupert

Director of Communications

After earning her bachelor’s degree in journalism, Evelyn began her career in news editing and worked for local and national outlets in Richmond, Va., and Washington, D.C. Prior to joining PJI, she worked for several years creating content and leading strategic communication efforts for an international development organization, where she focused on issues of migration, economic growth and crime and violence prevention. Her video production work in Central America helped earn her team several Telly Awards. Evelyn graduated with her master’s degree in Strategic Communications from American University in 2021.
